Q: Why do you write puppet scripts? What motivates you?
I have always loved working with children. I wrote this script because the children I was working with at that time wanted to do a play about Noah's Ark and I couldn't find one that was diffent. So,(oh by the way I love animals
also),I decided to write a skit from the view of the animals. Title: "Noah's Ark (from the animals view)" There will be more in the future I'm sure.
Q: Tell us about your church or puppet organisation.
We have a small church. I started doing puppets plays with the kids as a childrens lesson up front on sunday morning, with one of the older teens to help me and we have just grown from there.
Q: How did you get started in puppets and what attracted you to this area?
By teaching Jr. church and the lesson book we used had puppets in it to use to tell the actual Bible stories in some case. Kids seem to love them and the rest is history.
Q: Where does your inspiration come from to write puppet scripts?
The Bible
Q: What advice would you give to someone just starting out in puppetry?
Start small and grow
Q: Who are your favourite puppet characters and what do you like about them?
I like the animals
Q: What are the most important qualities in great puppet scripts?
Humor for the age group you are doing the puppet show.
Q: What would you do if you were a puppet?
I would go to churches that didn't have puppets and help them get started.
